Season 2 of Love Is Blind UK has been a rollercoaster, with last week’s finale showing which couples tied the knot and the subsequent reunion episode last night revealing who has actually stayed together.

At the end of the Netflix show, shocked fans saw Bardha make the difficult decision to turn down a heartbroken Jed at the altar.

While she still seemed keen to pursue a relationship with her fiancé, it was revealed in the reunion that the pair have since split.

Moreover, things appeared to be particularly frosty between the former couple, with Bardha telling Jed she had no desire to see him again.

In an exclusive interview, the star sat down to explain what had happened in the months following their wedding day.

Speaking about saying ‘no’ at the altar, Bardha reflected: “It was probably the worst decision I’ve ever had to make. I didn’t want to make that decision.

“After the wedding, I went to him and I said that I wanted to keep trying. You know, I did very much love him and I wanted to make it work.”

She then revealed: “He didn’t want to… I don’t know if he didn’t want to, but he didn’t try. I was fighting a losing battle.

“If the two of you don’t put the effort in, it’s not going to work and there would have been no point.”

Bardha then went on to explain how a moment with Jed’s ex had caused further friction between them.

“About three weeks in we had an argument and he asked me to remove my ring because he saw his ex-girlfriend,” she said.

“And I kind of felt like she was more of a priority than me and at that point I was like ‘What am I doing? Why am I fighting for something that he obviously doesn’t want?’

“So I left and I went back the next day to get my things and I’ve not spoken to him since and I’ve got no desire to.

“I don’t care what he’s doing, who he’s with, if anybody, it doesn’t concern me,” she reiterated.

“He was not my person; he wasn’t the person he pretended to be. I feel like I got a lucky escape and thank god.”

Referencing fellow contestant Patrick’s famous catchphrase, she quipped: “I feel like it might have been my spleen that told me to say no, if I’m honest, but I listened and I’m so glad I made that decision.”

Meanwhile, the drama-packed reunion episode also revealed that Megan and Kieran had stayed married, while Sarover and Kal and Ashleigh and Billy had called it quits after tying the knot.

Love Is Blind UK season 2 is available to stream now, exclusively on Netflix.
