On Monday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) announced that it is collaborating with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) to establish improved crowd management protocols. This initiative comes in the wake of a tragic incident during the celebration of RCB's first IPL title, where one individual lost their life due to a stampede.

In response to this tragedy, RCB has pledged a compensation of ₹25 lakh to the families of the deceased. The RCB Cares initiative aims to empower and uplift the community, with a framework consisting of six key points to achieve these goals. However, the implementation of these points is contingent upon receiving government approval.

Additionally, the agenda includes providing support beyond financial assistance. RCB expressed its intention to collaborate with stadium officials, sports entities, and league partners to enhance crowd management protocols.

The franchise has also committed to establishing a fan safety audit framework and has discussed training opportunities for its partners on the field. Furthermore, RCB Cares has highlighted its goal of creating job opportunities for local talents within the stadium.
