In the Ayushman Yojana of the Central Government, the elderly get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. But this scheme is not applicable in this state. Still, free treatment is available. Know how?

Health is the most important part of every person's life. If someone falls ill, a lot of money is spent on medicines and treatment. To avoid this, many people take health insurance in advance. So that the financial burden does not increase in case of sudden illness. But many people do not have enough money to take out insurance.

The government is running the Ayushman Bharat Yojana for the poor and needy people of the country. Under which free treatment facility up to Rs 5 lakh is available. This has proved to be a big relief for crores of people of the country. But you will be surprised to know that a big state of India is still out of this scheme.

Ayushman Bharat Yojana was started in the year 2018. Its purpose is to provide cashless treatment to the poor and needy people. In this, the government bears the cost of up to Rs 5 lakh on hospitalization for treatment. Now the elderly are also getting treatment separately under this scheme.

But still, some states have not implemented it. Among these, the name of West Bengal comes first. The state government here did not approve the Ayushman Bharat scheme. For this reason, the people of West Bengal are not able to take advantage of this scheme of the central government.

However, this does not mean that the people of West Bengal do not get the facility of free treatment. Here the state government has started its own separate scheme, so that people do not have to worry about health services. This step has given a lot of relief to the elderly and poor families and they are able to get treatment when needed.

The name of this scheme is Swasthya Sathi Yojana. Under this also, patients get a chance to get cashless treatment up to Rs 5 lakh. That is, the government bears the expenses from hospitalization to major operations. The elderly also get treatment in this scheme.

Digital cards are issued to the people in the Swasthya Sathi scheme. By showing these cards, people of the state can get free treatment in both government and private hospitals. However, let us tell you that elderly people above 70 years of age get separate treatment worth Rs 5 lakh under the Ayushman scheme. But this is not the case in West Bengal's Swasthya Sathi scheme.
