'I'm a royal expert and Meghan Markle needs to make just one change to her Netflix show'

Meghan Markle has had a busy seven days, with season two of With Love, Meghan having dropped just last week. While the new episodes received lots of positive reaction from Meghan's fans, I can't help but feel like it is still - like the first series - missing something.

While the second season is markedly better than the first, I think the show is being held back from reaching its full potential. To really make it thrive, Meghan Markle should make one simple change, and that is to cook with her family rather than celebrity chefs and friends.

As a royal expert, I think if Meghan were to feature in episodes cooking with her husband, Prince Harry, 40, and their children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four, the viewership ratings would be off the charts.

Whether she would be teaching them to cook, cooking for them or trying one of the many other activities that feature in her show with them, I think the presence of Harry and their children would make a very big difference to the show's success. Why, you ask?

Because a lot of viewers, like me, watch because they want more intel. Whether that is more information about the family's life in Montecito, Prince Harry, or even their experiences as royals (which they have talked about A LOT in the past).

Although many claim not to like Meghan and Harry, especially since they quit royal life in the UK in 2020, it is not a lie to say that people remain just as curious about the couple as ever before.

While we may see snippets of their life on Meghan's Instagram account, which she only started up again this year, this is significantly less than what we saw and knew about the couple when they were still working royals.

And while Meghan may mention her husband and children on occasion in her Netflix show, for example when she shared that Lilibet loves the colour pink and Harry doesn't like lobster, it doesn't have the same appeal as watching them all together on screen - something a lot of people would no doubt tune in to see.

However, while this may undoubtedly generate more of an audience - and therefore more success for Meghan - I am very aware that it would not be ideal.

With the children still being so young, I don't blame Meghan for not wanting them to be on camera on a show that millions could see, regardless of their royal title.

In fact, it just goes to show that the duchess is putting family before fame, at least when it comes to her children's privacy.
