SBI PO Mains Exam 2025: State Bank of India (SBI) has announced the date of the main exam (SBI PO Mains Exam 2025) of Probationary Officer (PO) Recruitment Examination 2025. This exam will be conducted on 13 September 2025 in the morning shift.

The Central Recruitment and Promotion Department of SBI informed that the admit card and detailed instructions of the SBI PO Mains Exam will be released soon on the official website sbi.co.in.

Now the main exam is after the prelims result

Only those candidates will be able to appear in this exam who have cleared the recently declared SBI PO Preliminary Exam Result 2025. The prelims result was released on September 1. The preliminary examination of SBI Probationary Officer (SBI PO) will be conducted on August 2, 4, and 5, 2025, across the country. A total of 541 Probationary Officer (500 regular and 41 backlog) vacancies will be filled through this recruitment exam.

SBI PO Selection Process: Selection Process
The selection process of SBI PO recruitment includes the following stages:

Preliminary Exam

Main Exam

Psychometric Test/Group Exercise/Interview
The final stage consists of a Psychometric Test for personality profiling, Group Exercises (20 marks), and an Interview (30 marks). The final merit list will be based on the total marks of the Main Exam and Phase III, which will be normalized to 100 marks.

This will be the exam pattern of the main exam.
The pattern of the SBI PO main exam will be in two parts - Objective Test and Descriptive Test. The objective test will be of a total of 200 marks, and its duration will be three hours. There will be four sections - Reasoning and Computer Aptitude (40 questions, 60 marks, 50 minutes), Data Analysis and Interpretation (30 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes), General, Economy and Banking Awareness (60 questions, 60 marks, 45 minutes), and English Language (40 questions, 20 marks, 40 minutes). After this, there will be a descriptive test, which will be of 50 marks, and 30 minutes will be given. In this, three questions related to email, report, situation analysis, and pre-writing will be asked. The entire exam will be of a total of 250 marks, and there will also be negative marking in it, under which 1/4 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.
