The Coldplay kisscam controversy happened in July which led the pair to both resign from their jobs
Ex-Astronomer HR chief Kristin Cabot, who was caught canoodling with then boss Andy Byron at a Coldplay concert at Boston, has officially filed for divorce from her husband, reports Daily Mail. The Coldplay kisscam controversy happened in July which led the pair to both resign from their jobs. Cabot, 52, filed a divorce petition from Andrew Cabot, a sixth-generation heir to the Privateer Rum fortune, less than a month after the Coldplay Kiss-Cam caught her canoodling with her boss.

However, reports suggest that the couple's relationship had already been on the rocks. Paperwork shows papers to dissolve the marriage were handed to a court in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, on August 13.

“I texted Andrew right after it happened, and he said: ‘Her life is nothing to do with me,’ and said they were separating,” his ex-wife, Julia Cabot, told The Daily Mail. “He’s saying it has nothing to do with him, even though they were married and shared a house. But then, the only thing he cares about is money,” she continued.

“I wouldn’t say he’s husband material,” Julia Cabot revealed. “But she doesn’t seem like wife material either,” she said of the now-twice-married Kristin Cabot.

"He’s a Boston Brahmin, that’s their code: ‘This isn’t anything to do with me.’ His ego is too big to be affected by this and the only thing that he’s bummed about is that he was embarrassed.

"He’s not a nice person. Now something not nice happened to him."

Third divorce for Andrew Cabot?

The divorce would be the third for Andrew Cabot, who is a posh member of one of the oldest and wealthiest families in Boston. Andrew was on a business trip to Japan during the viral embrace and was unaware of why his wife had become a meme overnight. He was unaware his wife was publicly canoodling with Astronomer CEO Andy Byron until he came home. Kristin and Andrew Cabot bought a $2.2 million two-story, four-bedroom New Englander-style house — located minutes from the Atlantic coast — just five months before the scandal.

“The family is now saying they have been having marriage troubles for several months and were discussing separating, which I find interesting since, as of a month ago, they were saying how in love they are,” the source told the Mail.

Footage captured the moment Coldplay frontman Chris Martin accidentally exposed tech tycoon Byron's affair with Kristin. He cheekily joked: "They’re either having an affair… or they’re very shy," as Kristin hid her face and turned around, while Andrew ducked behind a barrier.

After the footage went viral, Astronomer CEO Andy Byron had to resign after "failing to meet company standards". Days later, Kristin also stepped away.

Kristin Cabot college party days surface

Kristin Cabot also sparked fresh intrigue after stepping out without her wedding ring, but still rocking the same layered necklaces she wore during that infamous PDA moment. Back in her college days, Cabot, then known as Kristi Stanek, was a proud member of the Delta Gamma sorority at Gettysburg College, according to The Daily Mail. The sorority, often referred to as the “pearls and parties” girls, had a reputation for glitz, glam, and being part of the campus elite.

“She always ran in affluent circles and gave off a very polished, confident vibe,” one former classmate told Daily Mail. “But no one thought she was the type to end up in a scandal like this.”

“She had a biting sense of humor and was always put-together, but we wouldn’t have called her especially ambitious,” a college friend added. “Seeing her as an HR executive, married to a billionaire, was surprising, but seeing her kissing the CEO at a concert? That was a shock.”

Despite having no social media presence outside of LinkedIn, the ex-Astronomer CFO's sudden rise to viral fame has unearthed a glittering past filled with pearls, privilege, and unexpected drama.
