New Delhi: In the series-deciding third T20I at Harare Sports Club Sri Lanka outclassed Zimbabwe with a commanding 8-wicket victory to seal the series 2-1. Chasing 192 Kamindu Mendis and Kusal Perera’s unbeaten knocks powered the visitors to a comfortable win after Zimbabwe’s strong batting display set up an exciting contest. Zimbabwes solid batting performance After being asked to bat first Zimbabwe displayed a strong batting performance. Tadiwanashe Marumani played a brilliant innings of 51 runs. Captain Sikandar Raza (28 runs) and Sean Williams (23 runs) also contributed with quick-fire knocks. Ryan Burl added 26 and Tashinga Musakanda contributed 18. The team posted a score of 191/8 in their allotted 20 overs. For Sri Lanka Dushmantha Chameera was the most successful bowler taking 2 wickets while Dushan Hemantha claimed 3 wickets. Sri Lankas dominant chase Chasing 191 Sri Lanka started aggressively. Pathum Nissanka (33) and Kusal Mendis (30) provided a brisk start. Later  Kamil Mishara and Kusal Perera took charge. Mishara remained unbeaten on 73 off 43 balls while Perera scored an unbeaten 46 off 26 balls guiding the team to victory in just 17.4 overs. Zimbabwes bowling was ineffective The Zimbabwe bowlers failed to make any impact. Only captain Sikandar Raza and Brad Evans managed to take a wicket each. Sri Lanka chased down the target with 14 balls remaining winning the series 2-1. Story Highlights Sri Lanka defeated Zimbabwe by 8 wickets in Harare to win the series 2-1. For Zimbabwe Marumani scored 51 and Sikandar Raza contributed 28. Kamindu Mendis (73*) and Kusal Perera (46*) partnership steered Sri Lanka to victory. Zimbabwean bowlers completely failed managing to take only two wickets.
