Bigg Boss 19 this year is overflowing with drama and surprises and among the contestants Farhana Bhatt has managed to grab attention for her bold persona. Many viewers don’t know that the 28-year-old hails from Kashmir and wears multiple hats; she is an actress a national-level Taekwondo champion and a peace activist. How did her journey begin? Born on March 15 1997 in Srinagar Farhana grew up in a conservative Kashmiri Muslim household. Life wasn’t easy; her father passed away when she was young leaving her mother and grandfather to encourage her to pursue her dreams. Before stepping into films Farhana completed her degree in Mass Communication and later trained at Anupam Kher’s acting school. Her film journey began in 2016 with Sunshine Music Tours and Travels. Recognition however came with Imtiaz Ali’s Laila Majnu (2018) and Salman Khan-produced Notebook (2019).
