Indian Education Minister's Official Visit to UAE Aims to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Minister's Two-Day Official Trip to UAE

The Union Education Minister, Dharmendra Pradhan, has embarked on a two-day official visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) from September 10 to 11. The primary goal of this trip is to enhance bilateral cooperation in education and to promote strategic partnerships aimed at fostering academic excellence and an innovation-driven ecosystem. During his visit, he will engage with top leaders, ministers, policymakers, educators, and representatives from institutions in both India and the UAE. Discussions will focus on increasing collaboration in education, innovation, and knowledge exchange, while also exploring new avenues to meet the aspirations of students and youth from both nations.


Meetings and Events Scheduled

On September 10, Dharmendra Pradhan is set to meet Sara Musallam, the Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK). He will also visit the IIT Delhi-Abu Dhabi campus, where he plans to inaugurate the Atal Incubation Center and launch PhD and B.Tech programs. Throughout his visit, he will interact with students and faculty members. Additionally, the minister will visit the BAPS Hindu Temple in Abu Dhabi and participate in the first anniversary celebrations of the Symbiosis University Dubai campus.


Collaboration in Higher Education

On September 11, Pradhan will join the UAE's Minister of Higher Education, Abdul Rahman Al Awwar, for the inauguration of the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ahmedabad's Dubai campus. The two ministers will engage in in-depth discussions regarding ongoing and future collaborations in the education sector.


Roundtable Conference and Community Engagement

Following this, the minister will participate in a roundtable conference focused on enhancing the presence and impact of Indian educational institutions operating in the UAE. As part of his agenda in Dubai, Dharmendra Pradhan will also take part in the "Plant a Tree in the Name of Mother" initiative at the Indian Consulate. He will engage with principals of CBSE schools and inaugurate Atal Tinkering Labs in Indian schools across the UAE.
