Bihar Weather News: According to the Meteorological Department, a warning of thunderstorms along with rain has been issued in 5 districts of the state, East Champaran, West Champaran, Supaul and Kishanganj. Its effect is being seen since this morning.
Monsoon is currently active in Bihar and on Wednesday (September 10), strong winds, thunder and lightning along with rain have been forecast in many districts of the state. However, there is a strong possibility of heavy rainfall in all the districts of North Bihar today. The Meteorological Department has predicted less rainfall in South Bihar today.
According to the Meteorological Center, there is a high possibility of heavy rainfall in North Bihar today, while South Bihar will receive relatively less rain. Along with this, a drop of two to three degrees Celsius can be recorded in the night temperature in most parts of the state for the next three to four days.
The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert today regarding heavy rain and thunderstorm in five districts - East Champaran, West Champaran, Supaul, Araria and Kishanganj. The effect of rain is being seen in these districts since early Wednesday morning. At the same time, warning of rain and thunder was also issued in Shivhar, Sitamarhi and Madhubani districts since early morning.
There is also a possibility of strong winds blowing at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in some places in all these areas. An orange alert was also issued for rain in the capital Patna at 3 am late night. The Meteorological Department has clarified that the monsoon will remain active in the entire state for the next five days.
Last Tuesday also, it rained in many districts including Patna, due to which the temperature dropped. The highest rainfall of 117.4 mm was recorded in Kishanganj, while 95 mm rain was recorded in Araria, 80.4 mm in Khagaria, 78.4 mm in Samastipur and 68.4 mm in Begusarai. Apart from this, 62.2 mm rain was recorded in Purnia, 52.6 mm in Siwan and 50.8 mm in Fatuha of Patna district.
Moderate rain also occurred in Barh, Bakhtiyarpur, Pandarak, Daniyawan and Athmalgola. 30 to 50 mm rainfall was recorded in Aurangabad, Madhepura, Nalanda and Rohtas. Light to moderate rain occurred in Vaishali, Bhojpur, Jamui, Banka, Madhubani, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Sheohar and Gaya districts.
Along with the rain, a drop in temperature was also observed. On Tuesday, the temperature in the capital Patna fell by 2.3 degrees to 32.4 degrees Celsius. The biggest drop was recorded in North Bihar, while the highest temperature in the state was recorded at 34.5 degrees Celsius in Motihari.
In most districts, the temperature remained between 31 and 32 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of any major change in temperature for the next five days.
Rain and drop in temperature have given relief to people from the heat, but in view of the danger of lightning and strong winds, the Meteorological Department has appealed to remain alert.
