If you have long-pending traffic challans in Delhi, here’s your opportunity to clear them at a lower cost—or even get them waived off completely. The Delhi Traffic Police, in collaboration with the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA), will organize a National Lok Adalat on Saturday, September 13, 2025. This special initiative will allow vehicle owners to settle their dues without the heavy burden of fines and lengthy court procedures.
The National Lok Adalat will be held across seven court complexes in Delhi from 10 AM to 4 PM. The locations include:
Patiala House Court
Karkardooma Court
Tis Hazari Court
Saket Court
Rohini Court
Dwarka Court
Rouse Avenue Court
Residents with pending challans can visit any of these designated courts to resolve their cases.
Before attending, you must book a token online to avoid crowding at the venues. Follow these steps:
Visit the Delhi Traffic Police website – https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/
On the homepage, click on the Delhi State Legal Services Authority (DSLSA) link.
Enter your name, mobile number, vehicle number, and pending challan details.
Submit the form.
You will receive a confirmation message along with a token download link.
This token will allow you to attend the Lok Adalat at your chosen location and settle your challan smoothly.
The Lok Adalat will provide relief or waiver on several common traffic violations, such as:
Not wearing a seat belt
Riding a two-wheeler without a helmet
Jumping red lights
Overspeeding
Wrong parking
Driving without a valid Pollution Under Control (PUC) certificate
Ignoring traffic signals
Driving without a license
Vehicles without number plates
Vehicles without a valid fitness certificate
These cases will be considered for reduced fines or complete settlement.
Certain serious violations will not be eligible for relief under this Lok Adalat. These include:
Drunk driving
Hit-and-run cases
Accidents involving death due to reckless driving
Underage driving
Vehicles used for racing or criminal activities
Challans already under court trial
Challans issued outside Delhi
This Lok Adalat is particularly beneficial for people who have accumulated multiple challans or very high penalties. Instead of waiting for court trials and paying hefty fines, they can now settle their cases at a fraction of the cost.
It will also help reduce the backlog of pending traffic challan cases in Delhi courts, offering relief to both citizens and the judicial system.
Lok Adalats are part of India’s alternative dispute resolution system. They are designed to provide quick, cost-effective, and amicable settlements. For traffic challans, they serve as a practical way to ease citizens’ financial burden while promoting compliance with traffic rules.
The upcoming Lok Adalat gives Delhi residents a rare chance to clear their pending dues in a single day without the usual hassle of legal proceedings.
If you have outstanding traffic challans in Delhi, September 13, 2025, could be the day to resolve them easily and affordably. By participating in the National Lok Adalat, you can settle violations like overspeeding, seat belt or helmet fines, and other minor offences, while avoiding unnecessary legal complications.
However, remember that serious offences such as drunk driving, underage driving, and hit-and-run cases will not qualify for relief. Make sure you book your token online in advance to secure your spot at one of the seven court complexes in Delhi.
This initiative is a win-win—citizens save money and time, while authorities manage pending cases more efficiently.
