Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi starrer Jolly LLB 3 is making headlines even before its release on September 19. The Allahabad High Court dismissed a petition seeking to halt the release of courtroom drama. The petition filed by Jay Vardhan Shukla alleged that the films trailer is depicting the legal profession in a derogatory light. It further alleged the song Bhai Vakeel Hai is influencing the minds of advocates and tarnishing the image of judiciary. Music composer Aman Pant defends Bhai Vakeel Hai after legal row In an exclusive chat with india.com award-winning music composer and scorer Aman Pant opened up about the legal controversy over his song Bhai Vakeel Hai from Jolly LLB 3. When asked whether he was taken aback when the issue reached the court he defended the track stating Main bilkul bhi shock nhi hui kyunki pheli baat toh is gaane mein aisa kuch hai hi nahi. Mujhe lagta hai yeh promotional ganna hai jo vakeelon ke liye hai. Agar aap iske lyrics dekhenge toh yeh jaise lawyers ke liye ek promotion hai- log sunke bolenge ki chalo vakeel ban jao. (I wasnt surprised at all because firstly theres nothing like that in this song. I feel its a promotional track made for lawyers. If you look at its lyrics its almost like a promotion for them- people will listen to it and say Come on lets become a lawyer.) According to Pant there has never been a dedicated song for the legal fraternity before and Bhai Vakeel Hai fills that gap in a fun and lighthearted way. He added Mere jaankaaron main bhi kafi log lawyer hai vo toh khush hai isse gaane se. Waise bhi lawyers par abhi tak koi specific ganna nahi bana tha. (Many of my acquaintances are lawyers and they are happy with this song. Anyway no specific song had been ever made on lawyer before.) He further emphasised that the makers of Jolly LLB 3 have utmost respect for legal system and judiciary adding Hum Indian judiciary aur lawyers ko puri tarah respect karte hain aur sabko pta hai unki importance kitni hai. Yeh gaana sirf ek humour aur fun ke andazz mein banaya gaya hai jo ab tak kabhi nahi hua. Its like an anthem for lawyers. (We have complete respect for the Indian judiciary and lawyesr and everyone knows how important they are. This song has been created purely in a humorous and fun manner something that has never been done before. Its like an anthem for lawyers.) The Allahabad High Court ruled on September 2 that there wasnt any kind of objectional content in the song. We have also gone through the lyrics of the song ‘Bhai Vakeel Hai’ and we do not find anything which may interfere in the practice of the legal profession by genuine Advocates.” the Court observed. Concluding on a humorous note and expressing his relief that the court rejected the petition Pant said Hum sabko pta that ki case hat jayega. Allahabad court ne bhi case dismiss kar diya. Mujhe lagta hai judge bhi ganna sunke khush hue honge. (We all knew the case would be dismissed and the court has indeed dismissed it. I think even the judge must have been happy after hearing the song.
