New Delhi . These days the relationship between India and America and America about tariffs has deteriorated. Efforts are being made to improve relations in both countries. Meanwhile, India’s talks are underway to purchase six dangerous P8 I aircraft from the US. The agreement between the two will be of four billion dollars and may be finalized soon. The introduction of American aircraft will increase the strength of the Indian Navy and will benefit in monitoring the Indian Ocean and finding submarines of enemy countries. The specialty of this aircraft is that no matter how much submarines are inside the sea, it will be able to find it from the sky, which will make it easier to eliminate it.
According to sources, a delegation from the US for this deal is coming to Delhi between September 16-19, in which P-8 I aircraft will be discussed in detail. The team will include the US Department of Defense Department and the P-8i aircraft manufacturer Boeing’s representatives. These meetings are expected to clarify the final conditions of the agreement.
The Indian Navy currently has a total of 12 P-8 I aircraft in Fleet, out of which eight were purchased in 2009, while in 2016 four more joined. The Navy was in demand for a total of 10 and aircraft, but in 2019 it was approved for the purchase of six aircraft. It is clear from this deal that even though there is a tussle between India and America about the tariff, it is not affecting other areas. India is moving forward on the defense deal with America as before.
Talking about P-8 I aircraft, they are capable of flying long distances in the sea. With its help, the Indian Navy can easily find out the submarine of enemy countries hidden in the sea deeply in the sea. After this, they can be destroyed by targeting them. It is noteworthy that in the recent past, the activities of Chinese Navy in the Indian Ocean have increased. Their warships, submarines etc. have also increased. Apart from this, recently there was a fierce struggle with Pakistan for four days. In such a situation, if any enemy country in the sea tries an audacity, then the Indian Navy can deal with it with the help of these surveillance aircraft.
