The breakup of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai in 2002 was widely discussed. In a recent interview Prahlad Kakkar revealed that following the split everyone in Bollywood turned their backs on Aishwarya leaving her emotionally shattered. He said that he personally witnessed the impact it had on her especially on her professional life. Bollyood industry had abandoned Aishwarya Rai During a conversation on Vicky Lalwani’s YouTube channel Prahlad Kakkar said I was just supporting her. I told her ‘Don’t worry about these things.’ She said ‘But the industry…’ What hurt her the most was that the entire industry abandoned her because of Salman. She really felt betrayed. Prahlad popularly known as the ‘Adman’ added “But she was actually very relieved after the breakup.” Salman Khan used to create a scene Prahlad Kakkar spoke about the impact of Aishwarya Rai’s breakup with Salman Khan and said that Salman was very physical with her and obsessed with her. How do you deal with such a person? he asked. When Prahlad was asked whether Aishwarya herself had told him all this the Indian ad film director replied No I know all this because I was living in the same building as Aishwarya. He used to come to the waiting area of her house and create a scene. Salman Khan used to bang his head against the wall Prahlad revealed that Salman Khan used to come and bang his head against the wall. He said the relationship had ended long before it was officially called off. The breakup was a sigh of relief for Aishwarya Rai’s parents for Aishwarya herself and even for the world. Prahlad added that Aishwarya’s greatest sorrow was that after the breakup the entire industry sided with Salman Khan and no one supported her despite her being on the side of truth. She lost trust in the industry and questioned why they were doing wrong.
