Today, we present a delightful recipe for potato bread rolls, a perfect alternative that can also be a special dish for gatherings. Whether you're entertaining guests or simply treating yourself, these rolls are sure to impress everyone, young and old alike.

Ingredients Needed

5 boiled potatoes
12 slices of bread
2 tablespoons finely chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
2 finely chopped green chilies
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1/4 teaspoon amchur powder
Less than 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon garam masala
Oil for frying

Preparation Steps

Begin by mashing the boiled potatoes thoroughly. In a pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil. Once hot, add the green chilies and coriander powder, sautéing briefly. Next, incorporate the mashed potatoes along with salt, amchur powder, red chili powder, and garam masala, mixing well. Stir in the chopped coriander leaves and cook until well combined. Your spiced potato filling is now ready. Trim the edges off the bread slices using a knife.
- Prepare all the bread slices similarly. As the spiced potato mixture cools, divide it into equal portions, shaping them into ovals and placing them on a plate.

- Next, pour half a cup of water into a plate and quickly dip a slice of bread in it, then remove it immediately. Place the damp bread in your palm and gently squeeze to eliminate excess water. Position an oval potato roll on top and fold the bread over it, sealing the edges by pressing firmly. Repeat this process for all potato rolls.
- Heat oil in a pan and carefully add 2 to 3 prepared rolls at a time. Fry them until golden brown on all sides, using a spatula to turn them as needed. Once cooked, transfer the fried potato bread rolls onto a napkin-lined plate. Continue frying the remaining rolls in the same manner. Serve these delicious rolls hot with coriander chutney.
