The story ranging from the birth of Lord Shri Ram to Ahilya salvation was staged in Ramlila organized by Shri Aishbagh Ramlila Committee on Tuesday in Lucknow. During this time, King Dasharatha of Ayodhya organized the Putrakshyashti Yajna, as a result of which Mata Kaushalya gave birth to Lord Shri Ram. At the same time, Mata Kaikai gave birth to Bharat and Rani Sumitra gave birth to Lakshmana and Shatrughan.
After this, Lord Rama’s child pastimes were performed, which the audience became emotional. The artists presented the acting of Shri Ram’s accepting with brothers, getting education from Guru Vashistha and killing Asuras like Tadka, Marich and Subahu with sage Vishwamitra.
Dasharatha was played by Bhaskar Bose in Ramlila, while Aparna, Joeman and Manika were seen as Kaushalya, Kaikai and Sumitra respectively. Guru Vashistha was played by Shyamal Das, while Nilesh Saxena was seen as Vishwamitra and Nilesh Saxena as Arya Sumantra.
Sriram was played by Prashanto, while Laxman’s character was Prathvijeet, Prince of Bharata, Sumit of Shatrughna, Ahilya’s Vasanti, and Subahu and Marich’s role were played by Sajal Sarkar and Yash. Tadka was played by Shankar Paul, while Bal Ram was acted by Udisha.
Prior to Ramlila, students of Nitya Dance Academy performed Ganapati Vandana, Devi Stuti, Navadurga and Dandiya dance. Commerce Safare and Dance Safare staged Ganesh Stuti and poems based on Maa Kali and Maa Durga under the direction of dance teacher Swati Srivastava. Swati and her disciple artists participated in this presentation.
Harishchandra Aggarwal, president of Shri Ramlila Committee Aishbagh, said that on Wednesday, Janak Pratiya, Dhanush Yajna, Sita Swayamvar, Parashuram-Lakshmana Samvad and Sitaram Vivah will be the main attraction in Ramlila.
