Telugu romantic comedy *Junior *, including Srileela, Genelia D’Souza and V. Ravichandran are also stepping into the acting world, ready for her digital debut after a slow start in theaters. Directed by Radha Krishna Reddy and produced by Sai Korrapati under Varahi Chalna Chitram, the film is a mixture of young romance, humor and family adventures. Originally prescribed for first streaming, its OTT release has been postponed due to re-sensorship issues, now the Aha video for the Telugu version has been determined to September 30, 2025. The Kannada version will also premiere on Nammaflix.

In its origin, * Junior * is based on Abhinav (Kiriti Reddy), a quiet college student who is looking for permanent memories between her unaware of the days. His world changes during a rigorous internship under a straightforward Vijay Saujanya (Genelia D’Souza), where he gets to see a shocking relationship between his father and his guru-revealing family secrets that redefine relationships and self-recognition. Filled with the vibrant soundtrack of Goddess Shri Prasad, the story reflects the enthusiasm of puberty and also descends in emotional depths, and earns praise for Kiriti’s dance skills and screen charisma despite the old screenplay.

Released in theaters on July 18, 2025 * Junior * started with a slight earning of ₹ 1.40 crore, reaching ₹ 5.40 crore in the early weekends and then gradually decreased. According to Caiknilk’s estimates, it earned ₹ 8.9 crore in India and ₹ 9.5 crores worldwide-which is much lower than a budget of ₹ 25 crores-and amid mixed reviews, in which the approximate plot was criticized, but acting was appreciated.

This OTT release presents a new dimension, in which English subtitles expand the attraction for global audiences. While Srileela shines in a lively supporting role and Genelia makes a poignant return, the * Junior * College Drama promises light entertainment for fans.
