A viral video has surfaced on social media, highlighting a troubling incident involving a headmaster in the teaching profession. Reports of educators arriving at schools under the influence of alcohol have been frequent, and this latest footage shows a female headmaster arriving at her school in a similar state.
In the footage, a man questions the headmaster about her alcohol consumption, asking, “Why do you come to school after drinking?” When asked about the number of students, she stumbles over her words, stating there are ‘40’ students enrolled. Her inability to communicate effectively raises concerns.
This incident took place at a government school located in the Baloda development block of Janjgir-Champa district in Chhattisgarh, involving a headmaster named Hira Porte. On September 19, she was seen arriving at the school intoxicated and subsequently fell asleep at her desk. Local villagers recorded the event and shared it widely on social media, leading to its viral status. The school has a total of 40 students, and aside from the headmaster, there is only one other teacher present. Villagers claim this is not an isolated incident, as her behavior has reportedly disrupted the students' education.
Family members revealed that the headmaster turned to alcohol following her husband's passing, and despite attempts to help her quit, she has struggled to stop. After the video gained traction and complaints were lodged, local authorities, including the SDM, DEO, and BEO, visited the school to investigate, acting on directives from Collector Janmejay Mahobe. As a result, the headmaster was suspended on September 20 for breaching civil service conduct regulations.
