Mumbai: In Hinduism, Pradosh Vrat holds a very special place. It is observed on the Trayodashi Tithi of both Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha every month. Devotees keep this fast to please Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati.
It is believed that observing Pradosh Vrat destroys sins, removes obstacles, and brings happiness, prosperity, and good health. This year’s last Pradosh Vrat is considered even more auspicious because of a rare celestial coincidence, which makes the vrat highly significant.
According to the Vedic Panchang, the Trayodashi Tithi of Ashwin Shukla Paksha will begin on 4 October 2025 at 5:09 PM and end on 5 October 2025 at 3:03 PM.
As per Udaya Tithi, the vrat will be kept on Saturday, 4 October 2025.
Since it falls on a Saturday, it will be observed as Shani Pradosh Vrat.
The most auspicious time for Pradosh Puja is during Pradosh Kaal, which begins after sunset.
