Pakistan Cricket Board Chief Mohsin Naqvi refused to take the Asia Cup trophy. After which Naqvi took the trophy of the tournament with him. Now BCCI will protest against the PCB Chief in the ICC meeting to be held in Nabanwar.
BCCI will take action on Mohsin Naqvi’s trophy
Asia Cup 2025: Yesterday, in the final of Asia Cup 2025, India defeated Pakistan by 5 wickets and won the title for the 9th time. After this, Team India refused to take the trophy of the Asia Cup from the hand of Mohsin Naqvi, Chief of Pakistan Cricket Board. After which Naqvi took the trophy of the tournament with him. Now BCCI will protest against the PCB Chief in the ICC meeting to be held in Nabanwar.
BCCI Secretary Devjit Saikia while talking to the media informed that BCCI will protest against Naqvi’s move. Saikia said, “There is a conference of ICC in Dubai in November. At the next conference, we are going to register a very serious and tough protest against the act of ACC president.”
On not taking the trophy of the Indian team, Secretary Devjit Saikia said, “India is fighting a war with a country and a leader of that country had to hand over the trophy to us… Will take
He further said, “This is absolutely unexpected, and we hope that his goodwill will work, and they will send the trophy back to India as soon as possible, which will give some glimpse of morality. At least we are expecting them. We will register strong protest against that gentleman’s behavior in today’s prize distribution ceremony.”
