The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has postponed the Lecturer (PGT) recruitment exam. The exam was scheduled for October 15th and 16th, 2025. The PGT and TGT recruitment process was launched on June 9th, 2022. This recruitment process was to fill 3,539 TGT and 624 PGT positions. The application deadline was originally July 9th, 2022, but was extended by a week to July 16th, 2022. Despite more than three years having passed, both exams have still not been conducted. 4.50 lakh candidates applied for the PGT exam, while 8.69 lakh applied for the TGT exam. All of them have been waiting for the exam for three years.
