M3M Hurun Rich List: Arvind Srinivas of Chennai became the youngest billionaire of India

New Delhi. AI Company Perplexity Co-Founder and CEO Arvind Srinivas is India’s M3M Hurun Rich List in India’s 2025 M3M Hurun Rich List. The total assets of 31 -year -old Arvind from Chennai, Arvind, have been estimated to be Rs 21,190 crore. His success shows the rapid growing effect of deep-tech and artificial intelligence in the country.

Arvind was born on 7 June 1994 in Chennai and was interested in science since childhood. He studied at IIT Madras and then did his PhD in Computer Science from University of California, Berkeley. After studies, he gained valuable experience by working in top AI companies in the world like OpenAI, Deepmind and Google. He has also worked on projects like Doll-E2.

In August 2022, he founded the Perplexity AI in collaboration with two other partners. It is an AI -word search engine that gives a separate, straight and accurate response from traditional search engines such as Google. The company gained rapid popularity worldwide and also got support from investors like Jeff Bezos.

How many billionaires in India
According to the Hurun report, India has 358 billionaires this year, which is a new record. The total assets of all these billionaires have reached a level of Rs 167 lakh crore, which is about half of the country’s total GDP. In the last two years, India has become a new billionaire every week.

Other major names of the list
– The richest: Mukesh Ambani and his family have again secured first place with assets of Rs 9.55 lakh crore.
-The richest woman: HCL’s Roshni Nadar Malhotra has become the first woman to reach the top-3 with assets of Rs 2.84 lakh crore.
-Other young entrepreneurs: Jepto co-founder KaV Vohra (22 years) and Adit Palicha (23 years) are also other youth billionaires included in the list.

Self -made property and other interesting facts
One of the special features of this list is that 66% of the people included are self -made billionaires. That is, he has earned his own business by making his own business, not inherited his property. In new people, this figure has reached 74%. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan has also joined this billmental list for the first time with assets of Rs 12,490 crore.
