Historic Performance by Mohammed Siraj

The first Test match between India and the West Indies is currently underway at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Indian fast bowler Mohammed Siraj has achieved a remarkable milestone during this match. He claimed a total of three wickets in the first session and took the first wicket of the fourth session, making him the leading wicket-taker among teams participating in this year's World Test Championship, surpassing Mitchell Starc.

After winning the toss, the West Indies opted to bat first. In the fourth over of their innings, Siraj dismissed Tejnarayan Chanderpaul for a duck. Following this, Jasprit Bumrah took the wicket of John Campbell.

In the final delivery of the tenth over, Siraj sent Brandon King back to the pavilion. The batsman attempted to leave an incoming delivery, but it struck the stumps directly. Siraj concluded the first session by taking his last wicket, that of Alik Athanaze.

During the second session, Siraj added to his tally by dismissing captain Roston Chase, who was caught behind after scoring 24 runs. This performance solidified Siraj's position as the top wicket-taker among teams in the ICC World Test Championship this year.
