Rohit Sharmas time as Indias ODI captain has come to a close with the BCCI appointing Shubman Gill as the new leader ahead of the series against Australia. Rohit considered one of Indias best captains in this format may not be part of the 2027 World Cup so it made sense to give a younger player time to settle into the role.
