  • Amla’s marmalade recipe
  • 1 kg amla.
  • 500 grams of sugar.
  • 1 spoon of cardamom powder.
  • 1/2 spoon fennel.
  • 1/2 spoon ginger paste.
  • 1/4 spoonful of green cardamom seeds.

Recipe

  1. First of all, wash the gooseberry thoroughly, remove its stalk and lightly pour it into a pan with sugar.
  2. Now add sugar, cardamom powder, fennel and ginger paste and mix well.
  3. Allow the mixture of amla and sugar to cook for 15-20 minutes, so that the gooseberry becomes soft.
  4. Now add green cardamom seeds to it and cook it for a while. During this time keep moving the mixture so that it does not burn.
  5. When the mixture becomes thick and the gooseberry cooks well, then Amla jam is ready.
  6. When it cools down, fill it well in a glass jar and keep it in a cold place.
  7. If you want Murga not to be too sweet, you can reduce the amount of sugar.
