Menar village, located about 50 km from Udaipur, is called Bird Village. This is one of the few places where both humans and birds live together. The ponds here become homes of thousands of migratory birds in winter. Birds of more than 250 species can be seen here. The government has declared these ponds as Wetland. Bishnoi

Bishnoi village, located about 22 kilometers from Jodhpur, is called Green Village. People here are known for their reverence for nature. Cutting trees or damaging animals is considered a sin here. People of Bishnoi society have been engaged in protecting the environment for centuries.
