Rishab Shettys period folk action thriller movie Kantara Chapter 1 is making waves at the box office. It seems that the Dusserah holidays did wonders for the film as Kantara Chapter 1 box office collection on Day 4 stands at Rs 61 crore according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Though this is an early estimate the numbers are expected to rise. Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Analysis Kantara Chapter 1 made in five languages including Kannada Telugu Tamil Hindi and Malayalam opened with huge numbers as the film minted Rs 61.85 crore. The maximum revenue was generated from the Kannada and Hindi versions. On Day 2 Kantara Chapter 1 raked in Rs 46 crore. Early estimates by Sacnilk suggest that the film earned Rs 55 crore on its first Saturday (opening weekend). Now the Day 4 box office collection of Kantara Chapter 1 stands at Rs 61 crore. With that the total box office collection so far stands at Rs 223.85 crore. Sacnilk reports that Kantara Chapter 1 has emerged as the third-highest-grossing Kannada film of all time surpassing Yash-starrer KGF Chapter 1 which earned Rs 237 crore worldwide.
