The Indian Army used the indigenous Artificial Intelligence application, from detecting the enemy’s sensor during Operation Sindoor to knowing the complete picture of Betalfield. The Indian Army itself has prepared this AI application. Army DG EME Lieutenant General Rajiv Kumar Sahni said that 23 Artificial Intelligence applications were used during Operation Sindoor, which led to the lead to the enemy. Lieutenant General Sahni was DG Information Systems during Operation Sindoor.
He said that even though there may be different perception on China’s AI capabilities, the Indian Army is fully ready and is constantly working on strong and indigenous AI techniques while focusing on national security. Lieutenant General Sahni said that these AI applications helped during Operation Sindoor.
Indigenous electronic intelligence system
This is an indigenously developed application that all intelligence agencies are using. During Operation Sindoor, this system was revised according to the needs of all agencies in a very short time. Through this, it helped a lot in detecting enemy sensors.
Exact targeting capacity (prohibition targeting)
A detailed weather reports were prepared for long distance weapons. With the help of Artificial Intelligence based weather reporting system, it was possible to target the enemy’s bases.
Common surveillance picture and target
Through the Trinetra system, it helped create a shared operation and intelligence picture at the tectical and operational level. Due to which the resources of the three force were ensured better coordination. This accelerated the decision making and at all levels, the military commanders saw the same picture simultaneously.
Due to which operational capacity is predicted threats through artificial intelligence
The dangers were predicted through artificial intelligence in complex coordination of time, location and resources. This model helped deploy resources at the right place at the right time. Information from different sources from different sources such as multi-sensor data fusion and multi-source data fusion was added in almost real time, allowing commanders to understand and operate the battlefield status and operate it. This led to an edge on the enemy.
