Union Home Minister Amit Shah has given a big statement during a program in Delhi regarding the increasing population of Muslim community in the country. Former Samajwadi Party MP Dr. ST Hasan has expressed strong objection to Amit Shah’s statement.
In fact, Amit Shah said that the increase in Muslim population is not due to higher fertility rate, but due to illegal infiltration from Pakistan and Bangladesh.
The former SP MP said, “The government is his. Is Amit Shah himself not responsible for the infiltration? This statement raises questions on his own tenure.”
ST Hasan called it part of the strategy of Hindu-Muslim polarization before the Bihar Assembly elections. He raised the question from where the government got the data of infiltration and what steps are being taken to stop it.
Hasan said, “An attempt is being made to intimidate the Hindu community with such statements, which is unfair. The government should not say such things without any basis.”
At the same time, regarding the suspension of the social media account of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav, he said that he has 80 lakh followers, who are exposing the government. Is this democracy or has it been abolished? He has said that he feels ashamed of today’s politics. This is a blatant attack on freedom of expression.
On the meeting of SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya and Azam Khan, ST Hasan said, “Both are big leaders of the country and think about the future of the country and the coming generations. There should be no problem in their meeting.”
ST Hasan further said that he has always respected Azam Khan and will continue to do so. We have learned a lot from Azam Khan. Many leaders made their mark under his guidance. Akhilesh Yadav asked us to contest elections from Rampur, but we did not contest because of respect for Azam Khan.
