Akhilesh Yadav Facebook Account Controversy: The matter of suspension of the profile of Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav by Meta (Facebook) is now gaining momentum. In this matter, Akhilesh Yadav said that his account has been suspended because there were some objections regarding ‘adult sexual exploitation and violence’. Along with this, he said that there was nothing wrong in his posts against which objections were raised.
According to the information, Akhilesh Yadav’s Facebook account was suspended around 6 pm on Friday evening, which has now been restored. When Akhilesh was questioned on this matter on Saturday, he said, “I came to know that my account has been suspended because there were some objections. I was told that the objection was regarding ‘adult sexual exploitation and violence’. When I got the full report, there were posts to a woman from Ballia, there were posts to the murder of a journalist… What was wrong in this? We have understood that the more we work on the ground, the more successful our fight will be and hence We will work on the ground only.”
On the other hand, Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said, “This action has been taken by Facebook. The government has no role in this. A derogatory post was made from their account, due to which Facebook has taken this decision as per its policies.” Earlier, Samajwadi Party has accused the BJP government of imposing “undeclared emergency” to suppress every opposition voice by suspending Akhilesh Yadav’s Facebook account.
SP spokesperson Fakhrul Hasan Chand wrote on Twitter, “Suspending the Facebook account of respected Akhilesh Yadav, the national president of the country’s third largest party, is an attack on democracy. The BJP government has imposed an undeclared emergency, where every opposition voice is being suppressed. But the Samajwadi Party will continue to oppose the anti-people policies of the BJP.”
