Before the Bihar Assembly elections 2025, Rashtriya Janata Dal and Tejashwi Yadav have suffered a big setback. RJD MLA Vibha Devi from Nawada Assembly seat and RJD MLA Prakash Veer from Rajauli Assembly seat have resigned from the party. Both the MLAs have joined Bharatiya Janata Party together. Both the MLAs have submitted their resignations to Bihar Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav. After resigning, both the MLAs said that they now want to participate in the politics of development with the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Both MLAs resigned due to ongoing infighting in the party
After resigning, both the MLAs said that the reason for their resignation was infighting in RJD and lack of leadership. RJD has suffered this blow when Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav is putting all his strength into the election preparations. Let us tell you that Nawada district has been considered the traditional stronghold of Rashtriya Janata Dal, where now the party’s hold seems to be weakening. Political analysts believe that the departure of both the MLAs to BJP can affect the organizational morale of RJD, especially in the areas of South Bihar.
