Speaking to news agency IANS, Dr. Preet Deep Singh, Vice President, Apna.com, said that I think social security is something which we often ignored in the past and used to think only about the present.
He further said that this achievement is deeply linked to PM Modi’s vision of “Antyodaya”. His mother’s advice to always think about the poorest of the poor is reflected in his every policy.
Explaining the importance of this award, Singh said that this award is not given every week, but once every three years. So, in a way, it is like winning an Olympic medal for India’s social progress.

He further said that increasing social security coverage from 19 percent to 63 percent is a good achievement. This shows that crores of workers are now covered under social security, which is a symbol of inclusive industrial growth.
