As India received the International Social Security Association (ISSA) award for best work in social security, industry insiders on Sunday said it reflects PM Narendra Modi’s long-term vision of securing the future of its employees.

Speaking to news agency IANS, Dr. Preet Deep Singh, Vice President, Apna.com, said that I think social security is something which we often ignored in the past and used to think only about the present.

This award reflects our Prime Minister’s long-term vision to secure the future of every employee. This shows how under his leadership India is ensuring that no citizen is left behind on the path to a developed India.

He further said that this achievement is deeply linked to PM Modi’s vision of “Antyodaya”. His mother’s advice to always think about the poorest of the poor is reflected in his every policy.

It’s a reminder that progress is only meaningful when it reaches those who never had social security. The government’s efforts are empowering even the most deprived citizens.

Explaining the importance of this award, Singh said that this award is not given every week, but once every three years. So, in a way, it is like winning an Olympic medal for India’s social progress.

It is a symbol of our growing global stature and credibility. The leadership of PM Modi and Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has ensured that India not only has a place on the global stage, but also a strong and respected voice.

Jaideep Kewalramani, Chief Operating Officer, TeamLease EdTech, said, “This year’s ISSA Awards 2025 is a proud moment for us. This shows that India is experiencing inclusive growth for all workers, which is in line with global standards. This reflects a strong signal towards a developed India and highlights global confidence in our progress.

He further said that increasing social security coverage from 19 percent to 63 percent is a good achievement. This shows that crores of workers are now covered under social security, which is a symbol of inclusive industrial growth.
