The PM Internship Scheme 2025 is a government-backed initiative aimed at bridging the gap between academic education and practical industry skills. Real Work Experience: At least 6 months must be spent in an actual corporate environment, ensuring exposure beyond classroom learning.
Stipend: ₹4,500 per month from the government + ₹500 per month from the host company.
Additional Grant: One-time financial assistance of ₹6,000 (for incidental expenses) credited directly to the intern’s bank account at the time of joining.
Insurance Coverage: Interns are covered under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).
Overall, each participant receives a monthly stipend throughout the internship and full insurance protection for the entire duration.
To apply for the PM Internship Scheme, candidates must meet the following conditions:
Must be an Indian citizen.
Age: Between 21 and 24 years.
Should not be engaged in full-time employment or regular college education.
Students enrolled in online or distance learning programs are eligible.
Education Qualification:
High School (10th) or Intermediate (12th) pass
ITI or Polytechnic diploma holder
Graduate in any discipline (BA, B.Com, B.Sc, BBA, BCA, B.Pharma, etc.)
Family Income: Annual household income should be below ₹8 lakh.
Certain categories of candidates are not eligible for this internship program:
Graduates from premier institutions like IIT, IIM, NLU, IIIT, IISER, NID, etc.
Holders of professional or postgraduate degrees such as CA, CMA, CS, MBBS, BDS, MBA, or any master’s qualification.
Individuals already enrolled in government skill development, apprenticeship, or training schemes.
Applicants whose family members are permanent government employees.
Families with an annual income above ₹8 lakh (only applicant, parents, and spouse are counted in the family unit).
Hands-On Industry Exposure: One full year of work experience in leading Indian companies.
Financial Assistance: ₹5,000 monthly stipend (₹4,500 from government + ₹500 from company).
One-Time Grant: ₹6,000 to cover incidental expenses.

Enter your Aadhaar-linked mobile number and verify it via OTP.
Create a new login password.
Complete e-KYC verification through DigiLocker.

Go to “View and Apply Internship” and select the company of your choice.
