NHAI has launched a unique initiative to keep toilets on highways clean. If you report a dirty toilet at a toll plaza, you'll receive a reward of ₹1,000. This reward will be given not in cash but as a Fastag recharge. This will definitely make your future travel a little cheaper. This special campaign was launched on October 10th and will continue until October 31st.
Which toilets will be included?
It should be noted that the "Clean Highways" campaign will only include toilets built or operated by NHAI. Petrol pumps, dhabas, or any other private toilets will not be included in this campaign. This means that until October 31st, if you encounter any unsanitary conditions in a toilet built or operated by NHAI during your travels, you can report it on the Rajmargyatra app. If your complaint is found to be valid, you'll receive a reward of ₹1,000 in the form of a Fastag recharge.
How to complain
Download the Rajmargyatra app on your phone from the App Store or Google Play Store. You can use it in English, Hindi, and 13 other regional languages.
After logging into the app, tap "Complain."
Upload a geo-tagged photo of the dirty toilet and describe your problem. Please note that the photo must be clear and distinct.
After submitting your complaint, an investigation will be conducted by the AI and NHAI field teams within 48 hours. Once the complaint is confirmed by the investigation team, your reward will be credited to your FASTag wallet.
What are the terms?
Under this campaign, a person can only receive this reward once. This reward will not be in cash, but will be credited to the FASTag linked to the complainant's profile. Therefore, this campaign is only applicable to users with profiles linked to a verified FASTag. It's worth noting that the Highway Yatra app also has some other useful features. For example, the Live Toll Updates feature allows you to view real-time information about each toll plaza. This will help you know in advance how much you'll be charged at the toll and how crowded the area is. Apart from this, you can also use the Highway Helpline Tracker available on this app, and if needed, you can immediately contact the nearest police, ambulance, or tow service.
