The BJP on Wednesday announced its remaining 30 candidates for the Bihar assembly polls, completing its full list of 101 seats allotted under the NDA seat-sharing arrangement. The party dropped seven more sitting legislators in this round, taking the total number of dropped MLAs to 17.
In Alinagar, singer Maithili Thakur, who recently joined the party, will contest in place of Mishri Lal Yadav, who resigned. Satish Kumar Yadav will take on Tejashwi Yadav in Raghopur. Sangeeta Kumari is contesting from Mohania (SC) seat and Sanjay Pandey from Narkatiaganj.
Three-term RJD MLA Kedar Nath Singh, who recently joined BJP, will contest from Baniapur, while ex-IPS officer Anand Mishra has been fielded from Buxar.
Four-time Barh MLA Gyanendra Kumar Gyanu has been replaced by Siyaram Singh, while two-term Chhapra MLA C N Gupta has been replaced by Chhoti Kumari. Gopalganj MLA Kusum Devi has made way for Subhash Singh.
