In this era of inflation, when the prices of LPG cylinders are skyrocketing, the government’s LPG gas subsidy scheme seems to be no less than a boon for the common people. This scheme provides great financial relief to poor and middle class families, thereby keeping daily kitchen expenses under control.

Under this scheme, the government sends direct subsidy amount to the bank accounts of eligible customers. With this, LPG cylinder is available at cheaper prices and your monthly budget also gets balanced. Come, let us know every detail of this scheme!

Who can take advantage of LPG subsidy?

The benefit of LPG gas subsidy is available to those people whose annual income is less than Rs 10 lakh and who have not opted out of the scheme. Also, women taking gas connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana are also fully entitled.

The government keeps changing the subsidy amount from time to time. Currently, a discount of up to Rs 300 is available on every cylinder, which comes directly into your bank account.

Super easy way to check subsidy

Do you want to check whether you are getting LPG subsidy or not? Don’t worry, this task has now become very easy! Step 1: Login to your gas company’s site like Indane, HP Gas or Bharat Gas and click on the ‘Check Subsidy Status’ option. Second option: Enter your LPG ID on mylpg.in and check bank details. Here you will know whether the previous subsidy has been credited to your account or not.

What to do if you do not get subsidy?

If LPG gas subsidy is not coming in your account, then do not worry. First confirm that your bank account and LPG ID are properly linked. If the problem persists, talk to the gas agency or register a complaint on the DBTL (Direct Benefit Transfer for LPG) portal. Often, subsidy gets stopped due to a small problem in Aadhaar or bank linking, which gets resolved immediately if fixed.

Amazing benefits of LPG subsidy

Every month lakhs of families are getting tremendous relief from this subsidy. When the price of cylinder had reached Rs 1200, this scheme was giving savings of up to Rs 300. This proved to be a game-changer especially for the women of villages. The amount is also directly transferred in the connections linked to Ujjwala scheme, due to which the kitchen bill gets reduced.

There is no need to fill any new form for this, just link the bank account and Aadhaar with LPG ID. The Finance Ministry has kept a budget of Rs 12,000 crore this year, so that every entitled person gets benefited.
