Government Bonus :The festival of Diwali is going to be even more special this time for the government employees of Uttar Pradesh! Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has made a big announcement of giving government bonus for the financial year 2024-25. This step has been taken to honor the hard work and dedication of the employees. This news has brought a wave of happiness on the faces of the employees, because additional amount will come into their accounts before the festival.

₹6908 will come into the account of every employee

The Finance Department has made it clear in its order that this bonus will be given in the form of “Productivity Linked Bonus”. It has been calculated on the basis of 30 days’ emoluments, with a maximum limit of ₹7,000. According to this, every eligible employee will get a bonus of approximately ₹ 6,908 (Government Bonus). This amount will help in making Diwali preparations more wonderful for the employees.

Yogi’s promise: Happiness will reach every family

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that this bonus will bring happiness to the employees and their families. He has given strict instructions to the officials that the bonus should be paid on time, so that no employee is deprived of this benefit on the festival of Diwali. Yogi also said that the enthusiasm and hard work of the employees is the backbone of the state’s development, and this step shows the government’s gratitude towards them.

Government spent more than ₹1000 crore

According to government figures, about 14.8 lakh employees will benefit from this bonus. The government will have to bear the financial burden of approximately ₹1,022 crore on this scheme. Nevertheless, the government believes that this amount will instill new energy and enthusiasm among the employees towards work. This step is not only a relief for the employees, but it will also give a boost to the economy in the festive season.

Which employees will get this benefit?

This bonus will be available to regular government employees of Uttar Pradesh, employees of aided educational institutions, local bodies, district panchayats, on-charge employees and daily wage earners. Employees whose salary is level-8 (₹47,600 to ₹1,51,100) or grade pay up to ₹4,800 will be eligible for this bonus. This scheme ensures that employees at every level can share in this festive benefit.

The central government had also increased the brightness

It is noteworthy that the Central Government had announced bonus for its employees on 29 September 2025. Now Yogi government has also repeated this step and given big relief to the state employees before Diwali. This announcement has created an atmosphere of enthusiasm in the entire state. Employees have now started preparing to double the festive happiness for their families with this bonus.
