There has been a tremendous rise in the Indian stock market for the last two days. Today both Sensex and Nifty made a huge jump and investors made a profit of Rs 7.22 lakh crore in a single day. On Thursday, Sensex closed at 83,467 points with a gain of more than 862 points, while NSE's Nifty 50 index closed at 25,585 points. Meanwhile, today the leading IT company Infosys released the results for the second quarter of the current financial year 2025-26 i.e. July-September 2025, in which the company has made profit in this quarter as compared to the last year. On the other hand, IT company Wipro has also benefited in this quarter.
Infosys company increased its consolidated net profit by 13.2% to Rs 7,364 crore in the second quarter (July-September 2025) of the current financial year 2025-26. Last year in the same quarter of 2024-25 it was Rs 6,506 crore. Operating revenue in this quarter grew by 8.6% to Rs 44,490 crore, compared to Rs 40,986 crore a year ago. Additionally, Infosys raised the lower limit of its growth guidance for FY 2025-26 to 2-3%. It was 1-3% in the June quarter. Operating margin remained stable at 21% on both annual and quarterly basis.
Free cash flow during this period was 131% of net profit, which is equal to Rs 9,677 crore. The total contract value (TCV) of big deals was $3.1 billion, about Rs 27,525 crore. The company increased its employee count by 8,203 to 3,31,991 in this quarter, which was 3,23,788 at the end of June. Also, an interim dividend of Rs 23 per share was declared for the shareholders, which is 9.5% more than last year.
Wipro company made profit in the second quarter. On Thursday, the company also released its results, in which it said that its net profit has increased by 1.2% to Rs 3,246 crore. Which was Rs 3,209 crore a year ago. The market estimate was slightly less than Rs 3,279 crore. At the same time, operational revenue increased by 1.8% to Rs 22,697 crore, which is more than last year's Rs 22,302 crore.
