Ramnagari Ayodhya is once again ready to drown in the ocean of lamps. The ninth Deepotsav 2025 is going to create history under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. This time, Saryu coast will present a heavenly view with the twinkling of 28 lakh lamps on 56 ghats. Thousands of volunteers have started preparing for the Deepotsav on Thursday with the slogan of “Jai Shri Ram”, and the entire Ayodhya is immersed in the “Rammay” atmosphere.
From the campus of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University, at 10 am on Thursday, volunteers boarded seven buses and left for Ram Ki Paidi with the slogan of “Jai Shri Ram”. Convenor of Deepotsav Traffic Committee Prof. Under the direction of Anoop Kumar, the work of decorating lamps on the ghats started. As soon as they reached the ghats, the volunteers started the work of laying the lamps with full enthusiasm.
Deepotsav Nodal Officer Prof. Sant Sharan Mishra told that this year the preparations for Deepotsav are in their final stages. The consignment of lamps has reached a total of 56 ghats and the decoration work is going on at a fast pace. He said that the work of decorating lamps at all the ghats will be completed by October 18, while on October 19, the day of Deepotsav, volunteers will pour oil in the lamps, put wicks and light them.
The university administration has made identity card (Icard) mandatory for all volunteers. Without I-card, no volunteer will be allowed to enter the ghats. T-shirts, caps and ID cards will be distributed to all the volunteers by Friday. The aim of the administration is to maintain security and discipline so that the event can be conducted smoothly.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Bijendra Singh said that “Deepotsav is not just an event, but it is a symbol of our faith, tradition and dedication.” He said that this time Deepotsav will create a new history under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. A new world record will be set by lighting 26 lakh 11 thousand 101 lamps at 56 ghats. For this, more than 28 lakh lamps are being decorated on the ghats.
Thousands of volunteers from Avadh University, colleges and voluntary organizations are involved in the success of this grand event. The enthusiasm and dedication of the youth working at the ghats shows that Deepotsav is no longer just a cultural event but has become the soul of Rammay Ayodhya. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath himself is reviewing the preparations. His clear instructions are that Deepotsav should not only become the identity of Ayodhya, but also be a global display of the cultural soul of India.
