LOS ANGELES: Hollywood star Tom Cruise and Cuban-American actress Ana de Armas have called off their nine-month romance, according to several media reports. The break-up comes following a period of dating that started earlier this year, although neither of the stars had made any public announcements about the relationship.

The 63-year-old Cruise and 37-year-old de Armas were first spotted together at former footballer David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebration earlier this year. They were also seen together on Valentine’s Day, sparking speculation about the blossoming romance.

British tabloid media reported that the two have drifted apart and agreed to break up, but sources clarified that they will still be friends. “They had a good time with each other, but now their ways have parted,” the source shared with a top entertainment magazine.

Throughout their romance, the pair was regularly spotted at de Armas’ $7 million Vermont home. Though they have ended their romance, the couple will soon be working together professionally as de Armas appears in an upcoming Tom Cruise movie. Cruise, who has been married three times before—to Mimi Rogers, Nicole Kidman, and Katie Holmes—has kept his private life largely under the radar in recent years.
