Steve Bridges, a beloved TikTok comedian known for his relatable and humorous point-of-view skits, has passed away at the age of 41. His wife, Chelsey Bridges, confirmed the news in a heartfelt video shared on his Instagram account. She revealed that Steve died peacefully in his sleep on October 15, 2025. The Peoria Police Department in Illinois confirmed to TMZ that officers responded to a report of a natural death at a private residence on that day.
"I'm really sorry to get on and tell you this," Chelsey said. "I think if I wait any longer, I'm not gonna be able to do it."
The Illinois native amassed over 400,000 Instagram followers and more than 2 million on TikTok, creating sketches that often featured costumes, greenscreen effects, and his signature exaggerated voices.
Chelsey described Steve as the most attentive father and the best husband, emphasizing that the characters he portrayed online were vastly different from his true self. She expressed deep gratitude for the support he received from his online community, which allowed him to live his dream of making people laugh. The couple had been married for 16 years and shared three children.
Steve is survived by his wife, Chelsey, and their three children, who she said are mourning his loss and asked the public to offer understanding and compassion.
"My children are on here, so please be kind. They're Gen Z or Gen Alpha or whatever. I am not gonna tell my children they can't grieve online. I will probably grieve online, too," Chelsey added. "This is life now."
She urged people to cherish their loved ones and live life to the fullest, saying, "Try to live your dreams every day. Love your family and take care of yourself."
A GoFundMe campaign established to support the family’s expenses has raised $33,000. The fundraiser notes that Steve leaves behind a legacy of laughter and a family that could use the community’s support during this difficult time.
