Indian Railways ticketing update: In a significant development on the occasion of Diwali the Indian Railways has made an important announcement for the people who are looking to book tickets and travel in the Indian Railways. In the recent development the Indian Railways has announced that several Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters in Delhi will remain closed on Monday October 20. As per the announcement the closure of the PRSs will affect both day and evening shifts at different locations in the national capital. However passengers can still book tickets at major stations where current reservation counters will operate as usual. According to the Northern Railway various PRS counters of Delhi including the ones at Parliament House Press Club of India Railway Board Supreme Court and High Courts will be closed for the entire day in view of the Diwali holiday.

Readers should note that despite the temporary closure passengers will still be able to make current reservations at the counters located at New Delhi (Paharganj and Ajmeri Gate sides) Delhi Main Hazrat Nizamuddin Anand Vihar and Delhi Sarai Rohilla stations.
