Khajauli Assembly Election 2025: Khajauli Vidhan Sabha Seat of Bihar comes under Jhanjharpur Lok Sabha constituency of Madhubani district. This seat has always been known for a direct contest between BJP and RJD. In 2010, 2015 and 2020, a tough contest was seen between the candidates of both the parties, Arun Shankar Prasad and Sitaram Yadav. This time, whether the same equations will be repeated in the 2025 elections or a third player will surprise, it remains to be seen.

In 2020, BJP candidate Arun Shankar Prasad registered a big victory by defeating RJD's Sitaram Yadav.

  • Margin of victory-22,689 votes

Important thing: In this election, candidates from JAP, independent and small parties were also in the fray, but the real contest was between BJP and RJD.

Note: Arun Shankar Prasad has become an educated MLA. He is a post graduate. Four criminal cases are registered against him. His total movable and immovable assets are worth Rs 2.17 crore and he also has a loan of Rs 12.65 lakh.

Equation reversed in 2015

The atmosphere changed in the 2015 assembly elections and RJD candidate Sitaram Yadav won.

  • Sitaram Yadav (RJD)-71,534 votes
  • Arun Shankar Prasad (BJP)-60,831 votes
  • Margin of victory – 10,703 votes

Important thing: That means the mood of the voters is changing here every time.

BJP's dominance in 2010

In 2010, BJP's Arun Shankar Prasad defeated Sitaram Yadav.

What will happen in 2025?

The fight between BJP vs RJD in Khajauli Assembly is going to be interesting again. On one hand, BJP's Arun Shankar Prasad has a strong hold, while on the other hand, RJD's Sitaram Yadav also has a huge support base. The question is whether the public will repeat the old pattern in 2025 or give a new decision?
