World Osteoporosis Day 2025: Effects are seen in every person’s health after a certain age. Where there is a complaint of weak bones in the elderly. This disease of bone weakness is called osteoporosis. ‘World Osteoporosis Day’ is celebrated every year on 20 October. The purpose of this day is to make people aware about bone health, many people are struggling with this problem. This type of problem is seen more in women after the age of 50 than in men. To make people aware about this disease, it is called World Osteoporosis Day.
If we talk about the disease of osteoporosis here, it is a condition in which the bones become weak, their density decreases and fractures can occur even with the slightest injury or pressure. Often people do not know about it until the bone is broken, hence it is also called a silent disease. Regarding this disease, doctors say that this disease is to aging, hormonal changes and deficiency of calcium or vitamin D. Usually fractures of the hip, wrist or spine are the initial signs of this disease. Walking bent over, frequent pain or delayed recovery after injury can be its symptoms.
Regarding this disease, it is said in Ayurveda that osteoporosis is directly to the imbalance of Vata dosha. When Vata dosha increases, the strength of the body starts decreasing and the density of bones starts decreasing.
Many methods have been suggested in Ayurveda to prevent and cure this disease osteoporosis.
