'Was very, very scared': Why Aahana Kumra rejected 'Bigg Boss'

Actor Aahana Kumra, who recently participated in the reality show Rise and Fall, has revealed that she was approached to participate in Salman Khan's Bigg Boss multiple times but turned it down.

In an exclusive interview with News18 Showsha, she confessed to being "very, very scared" about living with strangers in a confined space for an extended period of time.

Kumra said, "I've been approached to do the other show [Bigg Boss], year after year and many, many times. But I've said no."

"Because I was very, very scared and I wasn't sure about how I would manage to be inside a house with so many new people."

"It's not like you only have to eat and sleep around in the same area with them. You've to live with them in general."


Concerns about potential food shortages on reality shows

Kumra further expressed her worries about potential food shortages on reality shows.

"There's a shortage of food. Your fights are mainly because you're hungry and angry."

"The easiest way to get people to fight is to stop the food supply. I was worried about the format, which is why I never indulged and agreed to do it."


Why she agreed to participate in 'Rise and Fall'

Despite her fears, Kumra decided to participate in Rise and Fall because it only required a few weeks.

"This one seemed doable because you had to stay within that space for only a few weeks."

"I wanted to see if I can live without the people I love, my family, my mobile phone. This format had tasks, challenges and strategies."


Kumra might reconsider doing another reality show
Future plans


Kumra, who is known for Lipstick Under My Burkha and Inside Edge, said she might consider participating in a similar show again in the future.

"I don't know if I'm ready to go back to a format like this immediately, but a few years down the line, I may just do it."

"But it's like you're always walking on a tight rope. If something goes wrong that you never anticipated would go wrong, it could've unexpected repercussions."
