Gurugram new metro line: Haryana Government has taken a very big and unique step to relieve the people of Gurugram from traffic jams and provide better transportation facilities. Now another metro line will be laid on top of one metro line in the city. This project can become an example not only for Gurugram but for the entire country. Let us know about this special project.
The hero of this entire project will be the Sector-5 metro station of old Gurugram. It will not be just a normal station, but will become a big junction. Metro lines of three different routes will be connected from here:
Keeping in mind the convenience of so many passengers, it is being designed in such a way that no one faces any problem. The most interesting part of this is that here one metro line will pass just above another metro line, but the platforms for both will be on the same level so that people can easily change trains.
According to officials of Gurugram Metro Rail Limited (GMRL), the design of Sector-5 station is taking the longest time to finalize as it is very complex. Here one metro line will pass through the middle of the road (central verge) and the other line will pass over the footpath. This will be a great example of engineering.
Currently GMRL is working on the 28.5 km long Millennium City Center to Cyber City corridor.
Under this plan, Sector-5 metro station will be connected to Gurugram railway station. Along with this, there are preparations to take metro from the railway station to Bhondsi and SPR (Golf Course Extension Road).
The city is developing very fast and its scope has reached Bhondsi. The government is preparing this entire plan keeping in mind the needs of the year 2031. It is estimated that by 2031 the population of Gurugram will cross 42 lakhs and then this metro network will prove to be a lifeline for the city.
This metro line will reach the railway station from Bhondsi via Vatika Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Rajiv Chowk and Sadar Bazar, thereby connecting the old and new parts of the city.
