Fashion designer Victoria Beckham has spoken out in support of her four children as she addresses a common complaint levelled at the youngsters.
The former Spice Girls singer opened up on claims her children with husband David - Brooklyn, Romeo, Cruz and Harper - are 'nepo babies'. This is a term used to describe children of wealthy celebrities with many believing they receive favourable treatment, especially when it comes to career opportunities.
In a chat on the Call Her Daddy podcast, host Alex Cooper asked the 51-year-old to pinpoint what was the hardest part in stepping back and letting her kids make their own decisions as adults.
The mum-of-four quickly replied as she urged people to "give the kids a chance" as she addressed the issues around "nepo babies". She said: "We're constantly calling the children of famous parents nepo babies. Give the kids a chance, it's not their fault, you know."
Emphasising her point, she added: "I think, just give the kids a chance. And our kids are genuinely all really good, sweet, kind human beings. You know, being kind is so important, hard-working. They don't expect anything to just happen."
However, it's not the first time that one of the of the Beckhams have adressed claims of nepotism, as Brooklyn told Grazia magazine last year: "Obviously I am one (a nepo baby). But I couldn't help how I was born, at all.
"There's always going to be people that say rubbish. But as long as you do something that makes you happy and you're kind to people, that's all that matters."
Since leaving school, the 26-year-old Brooklyn has persued a number of projects including stints as a model, photographer, as well as more recently putting his cooking skills to the test.
Meanwhile, his eldest brother, Romeo, followed in his dad's footsteps by playing football. He had spells in the youth teams of Arsenal and Inter Miami, which is partly owned by his dad.
Since then, the 23-year-old has also had brief spells at Inter Miami II and Brentford. Away from his football career, he was seen on the runway for Versace at the 2025 Milan Fashion Week earlier this year.
It looks like Victoria's youngest son, Cruz, is keen to follow in his mum's footsteps after recently launching his music career with a number of gigs as well as revealing that he will be releasing two singles, Optics and Lick The Toad, which are out on Friday (24 October).
