According to reports, Zoho is now set to launch a UPI-based consumer payment platform. The platform will be launched under the name Zoho Pay. This new platform will be launched to compete with Paytm, PhonePay and Google Pay. Zoho’s Arattai app is being seen as a Made in India alternative to WhatsApp and has also grown in number of users in the past few days. Ulaa Browser is designed to compete with Google Chrome. According to reports, Zoho Pay will be a standalone app and will also be integrated into Arattai Messenger. Like WhatsApp, the users of Arattai app will also get both chatting and payment options in the app. Zoho already has a payment-aggregator license and offers business payments through Zoho Business. Now that UPI has entered the payment ecosystem, the competition is going to be very intense. UPI apps like PhonePay, Google Pay, Paytm are going to compete.
So far, the launch date of Zoho Pay, the new payment platform, has not been announced. However, it is predicted that this platform can be launched in the coming period. Currently, the testing of this platform has been started. It is said that this platform may be launched for iOS as well as Android.
