School, Hospital, Ashram or Hostel! Accidents can happen anywhere. But in some places the incident becomes a permanent memory, just like a horror story! One such shocking incident took place in a girls hostel in Chandigarh. Although this hostel looks normal from the outside, there is a dark secret hidden within the walls.
Once a transgender student named Suda lived in this hostel. Suda had a calm nature, but was not very advanced in studies. Because of her identity, some girls in the hostel constantly make fun of her, treating her differently. She was insulted everywhere in the classroom, in the canteen, in the corridor. This mental torture increased day by day and Suda broke down inside. One night, while everyone was asleep, Suda came upon a girl who had been harassing her and killed her in a fit of rage. Then she herself went upstairs and committed suicide by hanging herself from the fan. When everyone saw this scene in the morning, the whole hostel was filled with screams. The police came, the case was closed, but the atmosphere of the hostel changed forever after that incident.
Over the next few days, strange things began to happen. Suddenly in the night there was a sound of clapping, it was like whispering someone’s name. Some of the girls said that they saw a shadow hanging from a fan on the garland. Some felt as if someone was strangling them in their sleep. Half of the girls left the hostel within a week. Today there is a thick lock on that building. Only one watchman stands guard inside. He says “at twelve o’clock in the night there is a sound of clapping from the top floor, and sometimes the figure of Suda is seen hanged…”
That girls hostel is now known as a ‘ghost place’. People say, he who goes to the top floor never comes back down.
