Chhath Vrat Udyapan Method: Chhath Mahaparva is being celebrated with full devotion and faith across the country. This festival, which lasts for four days, starts with Nahay-Khay and ends with Usha Arghya. During Chhath Puja, fasting women and men worship Sun God and Chhathi Maiya. In this great festival, the fourth day of Chhath Puja is considered to be the most important, because on this day the fast is concluded after offering Usha Arghya. To perform Udyapan of Chhath, you should offer Arghya to the rising sun and after that, distribute the Prasad offered in the puja. Then break the fast by taking this Prasad yourself. After this, give donations and food to Brahmins as per your capacity. This is considered a way to complete the penance of fasting.
On Tuesday, October 28, the fasting people will offer Arghya to the rising sun and after this, the fasting people can break the fast any time. After 36 hours of waterless fast, complete the fast by offering water to the rising sun. Then the fasting person should drink raw milk sherbet or eat Prasad of Thekua or any other thing. With this the Chhath festival ends. Some women return home after Arghya and light a lamp at the place of worship and take Prasad along with their family.
Materials like two bamboo baskets, fruits (banana, dabh lemon, custard apple), thekua, kasar (rice laddus), sugarcane, sweet potato, sugarcane, betel nut, betel nut, turmeric, vermillion, roli, incense, lamp and ghee are required for Chhath Puja and Udyapan. Apart from this, a pot, milk and water are also required to offer Arghya to the Sun God.
